Christopher Alan Young, born on June 12, 1985, is an American country music singer and songwriter who catapulted to prominence in 2006 by clinching the title in season four of the reality singing contest Nashville Star.
Following his victory, RCA Records Nashville signed him on, and he promptly released his eponymous debut album in the same year. The album spawned two chart-topping singles on Hot Country Songs, namely “Drinkin‘ Me Lonely” and “You’re Gonna Love Me“. His sophomore effort, “The Man I Want to Be“, hit shelves on September 1, 2009, featuring hits like “Voices“, “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song)“, and the titular track, all of which soared to the number one spot.

Young’s third album, “Neon“, continued his streak with two additional number ones in “Tomorrow” and “You” in 2011, alongside the top 5 hit “I Can Take It from There” in 2012. The subsequent release, “A.M.” in 2013, yielded three more singles, including the top 5 hits “Aw Naw”, “Who I Am with You“, and “Lonely Eyes“.
On November 13, 2015, he dropped his fifth studio album, “I’m Comin’ Over”. In 2017, Young achieved a significant milestone in country music by being inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
